Ondo Perps launches stock-based RWA perpetuals market
According to BlockBeats, Ondo Perps officially went live on July 7. The platform offers up to 20x leverage on stock perpetual contracts and allows tokenized stocks to be used as collateral. It also announced incentives of up to $3 million. Ondo Perps said the product is designed as a venue for trading RWA perpetuals, with the stated goal of delivering liquidity and capital efficiency closer to what traders typically expect from traditional derivatives platforms.
The team said Ondo technology had already helped advance the tokenized equity segment before this launch. With the product now online, its perpetual market covers a broad range of assets, including oil, gold and silver, as well as Intel, AMD, Meta, Tesla, Apple, Circle, Nvidia, Oracle, Netflix, DRAM, Micron, SpaceX, Palantir, Amazon, Strategy, Alphabet, Coinbase, Microsoft and Robinhood. The lineup also includes index products such as US 100 and US 500. The platform said these markets are available for 24/7 permissionless trading, removing the time constraints associated with conventional market hours.
Tokenized equities can be posted as collateral
Ondo Perps said it is the first platform to let traders use tokenized stocks as collateral. In its view, this structure enables market participants to deploy larger pools of capital on a single venue, run more complex strategies and manage risk without being constrained by expiry dates or closing sessions that are standard in traditional derivatives markets. The platform framed this as a key advantage for traders seeking continuous access to stock-linked perpetual exposure.
At the current stage, the product is only available to Pre-Alpha users. Ondo Perps also said access is open to global users outside the United States, Panama and other restricted jurisdictions. That means users in those restricted markets are not currently eligible to use the service.
