Launch targets non-U.S. investors
Ondo Perps has officially gone live and is now open to non-U.S. investors. The platform is being positioned as the first perpetual futures venue to support tokenized stocks and stablecoins as derivatives collateral. Its stated goal is to push on-chain derivatives into a new phase of capital efficiency by allowing traders to use tokenized equities as margin instead of splitting reserves across multiple platforms.
Coverage includes equities, indices, and commodities
According to the announcement, Ondo Perps currently supports assets across several major categories, including equities, indices, and commodities. Named instruments include SPCX, MU, NVDA, TSLA, AAPL, as well as gold and crude oil. The platform offers up to 20x leverage and provides 24/7 trading access for eligible global investors.
Focus on deep liquidity, low slippage, and fast execution
Ondo says the platform is designed to deliver market depth comparable to traditional finance, with very low spreads and slippage. On execution, it claims performance on par with top centralized crypto exchanges. Order routing, margin updates, and liquidation processes are handled in real time, while the system is intended to preserve a decentralized trading structure.
Built on Ondo Finance and Ondo Global Markets infrastructure
Ondo Perps is built on Ondo Finance technology, while Ondo Global Markets provides the underlying tokenized equity infrastructure. The company says the broader ecosystem has already reached more than $1 billion in TVL. In Ondo's framing, Perps represents the next layer of that ecosystem, moving tokenized assets beyond simple holding and enabling them to function as productive collateral within a unified trading venue.
