OpenGradient has entered the ESMA register and published its MiCAR white paper, giving the OPG token a regulatory path toward admission on MiCAR-licensed trading venues across the EU and EEA. That is a compliance milestone, not a live market launch. No venue has named OPG for listing, and the project has not released an official airdrop date, TGE schedule, or claim process.
Regulatory clearance exists, but trading has not started
The update was posted on X and on the foundation’s website. According to the project, the MiCAR filing makes OPG eligible for admission to trading on licensed platforms in Europe. ESMA’s register is meant to publish crypto-asset white papers and related records. ESMA also states that documents in the register are not reviewed or approved by an EU authority.
That distinction matters. Readers may treat the filing as if OPG were already listed, but the source material does not support that. Community posts have mentioned an April-to-May launch window, yet the official materials reviewed did not confirm it. An official guide for the airdrop and claim steps is still pending.
A fixed 1 billion supply, with 40 million tokens for the airdrop
OpenGradient is tied to a network built to make AI outputs verifiable on-chain. The foundation says OPG will launch on Base as an ERC-20 asset, with inference payments, model monetization, app access, staking, and governance available from day one.
The token structure has been disclosed in detail. Total supply is fixed at 1 billion OPG. The allocation is split into 40% for growth programs, 15% for the foundation, 15% for core contributors, 10% for investors and advisors, 10% for staking rewards, 6% for liquidity and launch, and 4% for the airdrop. That puts the airdrop pool at 40 million tokens, fully unlocked at TGE.
Funding and usage metrics are already public
The foundation says OpenGradient has raised $9.5 million. It also reports more than 2 million inferences processed, 500,000 proofs verified, 2,000 models on its hub, and 2 million users across apps. Those figures are part of the project’s case that the token is not launching into an empty network.
There is still no official live OPG price because trading has not begun. The source article suggested an early range of $0.03 to $0.08 based on market conditions, network activity, and the 1 billion-token supply, implying a fully diluted valuation of roughly $30 million to $80 million. That range is only an estimate cited in the source material, not a confirmed launch price and not a quote from any exchange.
