OpenGradient has opened Season 1 airdrop registration, with claims set to begin on April 21 at TGE. Coinbase has added OPG to its roadmap, though no live trading time has been confirmed.

OpenGradient has launched the registration portal for its Season 1 airdrop, giving eligible users a window from April 15 to April 20 to complete signup before OPG claims open at the token generation event on April 21, 2026. The claim period will remain open until April 28. According to the portal details, users need to connect wallets and linked accounts to check eligibility, and they must return with the same registered Base wallet to claim. Registration also supports submission of a KuCoin UID.

Eligibility is tied to prior activity across the network

The project says qualification starts with identity matching. Activities listed as relevant include community campaigns, early channel participation, product usage, trading on affiliated platforms, use of the OpenGradient testnet, and contributions to the Model Hub. The team has also warned users to rely only on portal.opengradient.ai, adding that it will not contact users through direct messages and does not run any pre-claim or whitelist offers.

The setup points to a tightly scheduled distribution process rather than an open-ended rewards event. Portal materials say eligible users can claim once TGE begins, with tokens fully unlocked at launch.

Token allocation shows 4% reserved for the airdrop

The token page offers the first public look at OPG distribution. It shows 40% allocated to the ecosystem and 4% assigned to the airdrop, equal to 40 million OPG. The launch date for the token remains set for April 21, 2026.

OpenGradient is pitching more than a token launch. Its network is designed to host AI models and verify inference results on-chain, allowing users to check which model ran and how an output was produced. On its website, the company lists 1,500 models, more than 2 million verifiable inferences, and more than 500,000 zkML proofs or TEE attestations.

A press release published on April 14 said total funding had reached $9.5 million, with backing from a16z crypto, Coinbase Ventures, and SV Angel, among others.

Coinbase roadmap adds visibility, not a trading start time

Coinbase has added OPG on Base to its transparency roadmap and displayed the token contract, giving the launch added exposure. At the same time, the exchange said trading will begin only after market-making support and technical conditions are in place. That leaves a clear gap between roadmap inclusion and an actual listing.

For now, attention remains on eligibility checks, claim timing, and when exchange trading will go live. Neither the portal materials nor Coinbase has provided an official live price or a confirmed start time for trading.
