OpenGradient has released the schedule for its Season 1 airdrop, with 40 million $OPG allocated for the first round. The team said users who earned points or interacted with its AI infrastructure will need to complete registration before they can claim tokens after the Token Generation Event, or TGE. The timeline is now fixed, and the claim process has been tied directly to the token launch.
Registration comes first, claims open after TGE
The rollout is split into two stages. From April 15 to April 20, users must register through the official portal and connect a wallet. On April 21, $OPG is scheduled to launch on Base through its TGE. From April 21 to April 28, registered users can submit their claims. OpenGradient said anyone who misses the registration step will not be able to claim later.
For registration, users can connect a Base-compatible wallet such as MetaMask or Coinbase Wallet, or use a KuCoin UID. Since $OPG is issued on Base, claimants will also need ETH on Base to cover network gas fees when moving tokens to a wallet.
Official portal and claim deadline
The team directed users to portal.opengradient.ai as the only portal for eligibility checks and registration. It also warned that team members will not send direct messages or request a seed phrase. To complete the process, users must return to the portal on or after the TGE date and transfer their $OPG to their wallets.
The final deadline for all claims is April 28, 2026. According to the announcement, any tokens left unclaimed after that date may be sent back to the ecosystem treasury.
What comes after the token launch
The TGE marks the formal launch of $OPG on the Base network. The article said OpenGradient has not confirmed all of its listing partners. Mentions of exchanges such as KuCoin, MEXC, BingX, and Coinbase were presented as community expectations rather than official listings.
OpenGradient also pointed to the next steps after the airdrop. Those plans include publishing Season 2 criteria and opening staking. Based on the disclosed outline, token holders will be able to lock $OPG for rewards and vote on decisions tied to the growth of the AI network.
Pre-market activity points to valuation range
$OPG has not entered open trading yet. Still, the report said pre-market activity on specialized platforms implies a fully diluted valuation of roughly $100 million to $117 million. It also cited market scenarios that place a possible debut price around $0.90 to $1.10. A more aggressive case was framed around a 1 billion token supply and only 6% unlocked at launch for liquidity, which could support prices near $1.50 to $1.85. Those figures were described as projections, not official pricing.
The source also said OpenGradient has already processed millions of AI proofs. On the funding side, the project was described as being backed by a16z and Coinbase Ventures.
