Prediction market platform Opinion Labs has announced the launch of a 50% maker rebate mechanism on its Opinion platform, effective immediately. Market makers receive 50% of the trading fee as a reward for each filled order, paid in USDT on a daily basis. The first reward payout is expected to begin on March 14.

This rebate can be stacked with the existing Maker Liquidity Points program, giving market makers both cash rewards and points accumulation simultaneously. The dual incentive aims to draw more liquidity into the order book.

Rebate Cap at 60%, Top Tier Requires $OPN Staking

According to Opinion's public roadmap, the maker rebate system will be tiered based on liquidity contribution. The current 50% rate is not the maximum. Higher tiers exist: the current tier offers 50% rebate effective immediately; the top tier can reach 60%, but top-tier liquidity providers must stake $OPN tokens to unlock it; all tiers can be combined with Maker Liquidity Points.

Rival Polymarket also runs a similar maker rebate program. Opinion's aggressive liquidity-grabbing strategy highlights the intensifying competition among prediction market platforms for market maker resources. By offering both cash rebates and points, Opinion Labs aims to deepen its order book in the prediction market race.
