Optical communications names posted broad gains at the start of the U.S. trading session on Sept. 11, according to market data from BIT (bit.com). The Purely Photonics ETF, FOTO, rose 2.82%, while Marvell Technology (MRVL) gained 3.75% and Applied Optoelectronics (AAOI) advanced 3.67%. Coherent Corp. (COHR) climbed 3.56%, Ciena Corporation (CIEN) added 3.69%, and AXT Inc. (AXTI) rose 3.89%. Other stocks in the group also moved higher, including Lumentum Holdings (LITE), up 1.51%, Fabrinet (FN), up 2.30%, and Nokia (NOK), up 2.50%.
