Paradex said a brief platform outage earlier this week did not affect the safety of any user funds or assets. The exchange said the incident occurred while an internal system fix was being deployed, lasted for several hours, and has now been fully resolved, with normal operations restored.
In its statement, the platform said user balances were not affected, all assets remained secure throughout the disruption, and there was no loss of funds, abnormal transfers, or account risk. Paradex added that once the issue was identified, its team activated an incident response process and kept the community updated while remediation work was underway.
Discord used as the sole official update channel
During the maintenance window, Paradex said it used Discord as its only official information channel in order to limit fragmented communication and the spread of unverified claims. Through that channel, users received updates on the investigation, repair progress, technical status, and expected restoration timing.
The company also said team members remained online during the incident to respond to user concerns directly, help review individual accounts, and provide clarification where needed.
Platform raises concerns over synchronized media narratives
Paradex also commented on coverage that followed the outage, saying a large number of reports appeared quickly after the event, including from some outlets that had not regularly covered the platform before. According to the company, several articles shared similar publication timing and framing, raising questions about amplified or synchronized narratives rather than reporting based on independent technical review.
The platform said some of that coverage lacked technical detail, contained factual inaccuracies in certain points, or was published before the official investigation had been completed. It added that the reports were then circulated more widely on social platforms, expanding the impact of the event beyond the underlying technical issue.
Trading volume above $1.5 billion as metrics recover
Paradex said its core operating metrics have stabilized since the system was fully restored and are continuing to move higher. The company disclosed that cumulative trading volume has surpassed $1.5 billion, while TVL and open interest have returned to pre-incident levels and continue to grow.
It also said Season 2 of XP Rewards has entered its final two weeks, with the XP multiplier mechanism still active and user participation remaining steady. Paradex said those figures show continued user confidence in the platform's technical performance and stability.
Paradex says it will support fact-based discussion
The company said external attention and scrutiny are normal in the fast-moving crypto sector, but accuracy, professionalism, and objectivity remain essential. Paradex added that it is willing to provide media and community participants with the data and technical context needed to support discussion grounded in facts.
Paradex describes itself as a decentralized trading platform focused on performance, transparency, and a user-first experience for global crypto traders.
