Paul Tudor Jones on the Best Inflation Hedge Portfolio
Paul Tudor Jones, the Co-Chairman and CIO of Tudor Investment Corp., recently appeared in a Bloomberg interview where he outlined what he sees as the best portfolio to fight against inflation. Jones stated: “What has worked so far has been some combination of stocks, which won’t do great, which would do terribly if we ever actually had a bond market accident… But it would be some kind of combination of probably gold, vol adjusted, Bitcoin, gold, stocks. That’s probably your best portfolio to fight inflation.” He emphasized the need to balance volatility, noting that Bitcoin's volatility is roughly five times that of gold, requiring different allocation weights.
Why Inflation Will Persist: The Policy Roadmap
When asked whether he would allocate 1 or 2 percent to Bitcoin, Jones explained the broader macro context. He believes policymakers will maintain very low real rates and run inflation hot, effectively taxing American consumers to escape the debt trap — exactly what Japan, the world's most fiscally constrained country, is doing. Jones warned: “It works until the population throws you out because you let inflation get too hot. So maybe you're in a world with three and a half percent inflation and two and a half percent overnight rate, trying to run hot and grow your way out of it.”
Michael Saylor: Bitcoin's Winter Is Over, Target $1 Million
Also interviewed by Bloomberg, Michael Saylor, Executive Chairman and CEO of Strategy, commented on Bitcoin's future. Saylor said: “Winter is not coming back. We are past that phase. If Bitcoin is not going to zero, it is going to $1 million. The President of the United States is determined. He supports Bitcoin, the cabinet supports Bitcoin, Scott Bessent supports Bitcoin, Paul Atkins has shown himself to be an enthusiastic believer of Bitcoin and digital assets… Bitcoin has gotten through its riskiest period.” Both views underscore strong institutional confidence in Bitcoin, though Jones adds a note of caution regarding volatility and risk-adjusted positioning.
