Phemex used its sixth anniversary campaign to release key 2025 operating figures, reporting 66% growth in global users, a 122% increase in spot trading volume, and a 26% year-over-year rise in futures volume. The exchange tied the milestone to its “Future With U” campaign, placing the anniversary alongside a broader year of rebranding, technical restructuring, and security upgrades.
According to the company, 2025 was a defining year shaped by changing market conditions and internal operational challenges. Phemex said it carried out a full system overhaul aimed at reinforcing its technical base and security framework. The work included multi-layer wallet protection, AI-driven monitoring, and stronger disaster recovery mechanisms. During those upgrades, the platform said it maintained 99.999% uptime.
Infrastructure overhaul preceded stronger trading activity
Phemex presented the infrastructure rebuild as the base for its business gains. The exchange said the upgraded architecture supported both user expansion and heavier trading activity. Spot volume posted the largest jump among the disclosed metrics, more than doubling over the period. Futures trading also moved higher on a yearly basis, keeping growth in double-digit territory.
The company also linked part of that performance to ongoing user input. Phemex said feedback from its community has continued to shape product development, including work around multi-asset trading and on-chain earning tools. That framing turned the anniversary into a statement about platform development with users, not just a brand celebration.
Rebrand completed as Phemex outlines 2026 priorities
Phemex said its full rebrand helped clarify what the exchange wants to represent: efficiency, transparency, and a forward-looking approach. The company described the refreshed identity, visual system, and storytelling strategy as tools to connect more directly with traders across global markets.
It also outlined plans for 2026. Phemex said it will keep investing in security innovation, scalability, and system reliability, with the goal of sustaining peak performance during periods of heavier global trading activity. On the product side, the exchange plans to refine its core offerings in spot, futures, copy trading, and earn, while adding more on-chain tools and cross-asset management features. On the brand side, it plans to expand through localized campaigns, educational content, and community engagement.
CEO Federico Variola said the company’s experience this year reinforced a core principle: resilience has to be engineered. He said Phemex chose to treat each challenge as a catalyst, and that its internal transformation, together with the external rebrand, formed the foundation for record growth. Founded in 2019, Phemex says it now serves more than 10 million traders worldwide across spot, derivatives, copy trading, and wealth management products.
