Pippin (PIPPIN) suffered a sharp sell-off, dropping 33% in a single day and losing roughly $37.35 million in market capitalization. Its market value now stands at about $57.80 million. The decline followed a buildup in short positioning and a collapse in perpetual trading volume, signaling a rapid deterioration in short-term market sentiment.
According to Stalkchain, the move lower was closely tied to growing bearish pressure in derivatives markets. Data from CoinGlass showed that PIPPIN futures recorded about $2.62 million in liquidations over the past 24 hours, with roughly $1.91 million coming from leveraged long positions. That imbalance suggests bullish traders absorbed the bulk of the damage as prices moved lower.
Broader risk sentiment adds pressure
Beyond futures-market stress, wider market sentiment also appears to be weighing on the token. The report noted that the ongoing crisis in Western Asia has added to risk-off behavior across crypto markets. PIPPIN has already been in a downtrend since February 26, 2026, and after the latest drop, it has lost more than 92% of its value from prior levels.
Support at $0.0427 becomes the key level
Even so, PIPPIN has shown early signs of a rebound after bouncing from a key support level at $0.0427. If that level holds, the token could potentially climb toward $0.107, implying an upside of more than 81%. However, failure to maintain support may open the door to another leg lower.
For now, PIPPIN remains highly sensitive to liquidation flows, bearish positioning, and broader market risk appetite. Whether support can hold and derivatives activity can stabilize will likely determine the token’s next directional move.
