Polymarket has issued what it described as goodwill compensation to users affected by an earlier outage involving its central limit order book, or CLOB. Suhail Kakar, the company’s head of DeFi integrations, said in a post on X that about 3,000 wallets have already received the compensation automatically. Kakar said users who believe they were affected but did not receive a payout can contact the team by email before Sept. 18 and provide detailed information for a manual review. The update sets a clear deadline for claims that were not covered by the automatic distribution. Foresight News had previously reported that Polymarket’s status page showed a major incident on Aug. 31 affecting its trading API, identified as CLOB. At the time, users experienced delayed responses when trying to read open orders. The latest compensation notice ties back to that service disruption and outlines both the automatic payout process and the channel for follow-up cases.
