A separate contract on whether it will end by Sept. 30 dropped to 44%, down 18% over the same period. At the same time, a spokesperson for Iran’s Joint Military Command said that no vessel can safely pass through the Strait of Hormuz without approval. The spokesperson said all passage through the strait requires Iran’s permission and that Iran has full control over the waterway. The official also rejected Trump’s claim about controlling the strait, calling it a lie, and said Iran’s armed forces would not hesitate in defending national rights, state sovereignty and the ideals of the Islamic Revolution.

In the same market, the probability for a Sept. 30 end to the blockade on Iran fell to 44%, down 18% in 24 hours.
Iran comments on Strait of Hormuz passage
A spokesperson for Iran’s Joint Military Command said that no vessel can safely pass through the Strait of Hormuz without prior approval. The spokesperson said any ship transiting the strait must obtain Iran’s permission and that Iran has full control over the Strait of Hormuz.
The spokesperson also said Trump’s claim about controlling the strait was a lie and described it as a sign that his military was unable to act.
The official added that Iran’s armed forces would show no hesitation in defending national rights, state sovereignty and the ideals of the Islamic Revolution, and would respond to threats of any type and at any level more heavily and more forcefully than before.
