Premu is spotlighting a feature it says sets it apart before the 2026 FIFA World Cup: users can create their own prediction markets on tournament outcomes instead of waiting for a platform operator to list them. According to the platform, market creators can also earn a share of the trading fees generated in the markets they launch.

On Premu, participants can open yes-or-no markets on questions tied to the tournament, including which team advances from a group, who reaches the final, or the outcome of a single match. Market creation is permissionless and requires posting a USDC bond. Once the market is live, the creator receives a fee from each trade placed in it.

Up to 2.5x leverage with on-chain USDC settlement

The platform supports trading with up to 2.5x leverage using either isolated or cross margin. Premu says activity is settled on-chain in USDC across Ethereum, Arbitrum, and Base.

The announcement comes as prediction markets have drawn more public attention over the past year. The report notes that event-based markets have moved beyond a niche use case as more participants use them for forecasting and information discovery. Sports events have historically brought some of the strongest trading activity to this sector, and the 2026 World Cup begins on June 11. The tournament will run through July 19 and includes 104 matches.

Premu frames user-defined listings as the key distinction

Chadi Farhat, Chief Technology Officer at Premu, said major sports tournaments generate new questions faster than a centralized listing team can keep up with. He said giving participants the ability to create markets and earn from the activity they attract allows the platform to respond as the tournament develops.

The article also points to the industry discussion around Polymarket and Kalshi, where comparisons have focused on market structure, regulatory approach, and the way contracts are listed under centralized and decentralized models. Premu describes itself as a decentralized prediction market where the list of active markets is determined by participants rather than a central operator, a structure the company says fits fast-moving events with shifting attention between fixtures.

Markets also cover crypto, politics, and short-term price moves

Outside sports, Premu supports markets tied to cryptocurrency, politics, culture, technology, economics, and global events. It also offers five-minute markets on the price direction of assets including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana. The platform says balances are held in on-chain vault contracts that can be independently verified, while deposits and withdrawals are recorded as on-chain events instead of being processed by a custodial intermediary.

Premu is available globally through its web application at premu.xyz.
