Pudgy Penguins said it will officially unveil its first original comic series, The Adventures of Pax Pengu & Polly, at San Diego Comic-Con 2026.

The three-volume release is being positioned as an early building block for the future of the Pudgy Penguins entertainment universe and as part of the brand’s wider value-building effort.
A three-book run centered on Pax Pengu and Polly
The series includes three titles: To The Berg, Betrayal on The Berg, and A New Dawn on The Berg.
The plot follows Pax Pengu after he receives a mysterious letter connected to missing family members. That message sends him on a search across Antarctica. During the journey, he meets Polly, and the two face a survival crisis threatening their home, The Berg.
According to the announcement, the comic gives a more concrete form to characters that Pudgy Penguins has built up over the years through social media and online games. It also fills in gaps from earlier character development and creates a world designed to support continued storytelling.

Vivian Lin writes, Afiq Salam illustrates
The comic is written by Vivian Lin and illustrated by Afiq Salam. Creative direction is led by Pudgy Penguins co-founder and chief creative officer Peter Lobanov.
The report said the team spent nearly a year on early planning, turning existing community lore and character material into a more structured historical and geographic framework. The creators said the goal was to build a setting that could hold decades of future storytelling.
ABMedia also noted that Pudgy Penguins has already been expanding its gaming and IP footprint through projects including the Telegram TON game Pengu Clash and the browser-based casual game Pudgy World.
Artwork was hand-drawn, with no AI-generated images used
On the visual side, Salam completed the work entirely by hand and did not use any AI-generated imagery.
The report described his style as self-taught, with brisk pacing and cinematic panel composition used to depict icebergs and polar adventure scenes. Salam said he drew on his own experience of losing loved ones when shaping the emotional turns in Pax Pengu’s search for family, aiming to bring out hope, fear, and a stronger emotional connection between readers and the characters.
