Bitcoin Reclaims $65K as Strategy's Accumulation Boosts Sentiment
According to a market analysis released by QCP Capital, Bitcoin has climbed back above the $65,000 mark, primarily driven by corporate Bitcoin holder Strategy's additional purchase of 520 BTC. Concurrently, Strategy's cash reserves increased by $300 million to $1.4 billion, and its dividend coverage period extended to nearly 10 months, alleviating market concerns over its liquidity. As a result, STRC price also recovered to above $90.
Risk Assets Remain Complex, Small-Caps Shine
QCP noted that despite the easing of liquidity worries, the overall risk asset environment remains complex. The Nasdaq index fell about 1%, with large-cap tech stocks under pressure. USD/JPY weakened significantly, fueling speculation that the Bank of Japan may intervene. In contrast, small-cap stocks performed relatively strongly, with the Russell 2000 index breaking above 3,000 points to an all-time high.
Regarding the crypto market, QCP believes it is still in a range-bound consolidation. Uncertainty over U.S.-Iran tensions, concerns related to Strategy's STRC product, and ongoing discussions about the potential Fed policy path continue to weigh on risk appetite.
Looking ahead to this week, QCP said the U.S. PCE inflation data and quarter-end portfolio rebalancing may trigger cross-asset volatility. However, based on options market pricing, traders do not currently view a single event as capable of driving the market out of its current range.
