As traditional finance and blockchain technology converge at an accelerating pace, tokenized real-world assets (RWA) have become a crucial bridge between real assets and the crypto sector. Bitget's compliant RWA issuance platform Reality recently announced a partnership with Alpaca, a US registered broker and self-clearing institution, to deliver brokerage-grade infrastructure for tokenized US stocks and ETFs.
Partnership Details and Infrastructure Support
Under the agreement, Alpaca will leverage its licensed clearing entity, Alpaca Clearing, which is a FINRA-registered broker-dealer and a member of the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC). Through this entity, Alpaca will provide Reality with a full suite of underlying services—including clearing, custody, and trade execution—ensuring that tokenized US stocks and ETFs are accessed within a regulated framework. This setup offers compliant participation channels for eligible global users, backed by the same safeguards as traditional securities.
Executive Perspectives and Strategic Vision
Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget, stated that Reality is a key component of Bitget's UEX full-scenario exchange strategy, designed to connect traditional financial assets with on-chain infrastructure in a pragmatic way, allowing more users to compliantly engage with tokenized US stocks and ETF products.
Yoshi Yokokawa, co-founder and CEO of Alpaca, emphasized his excitement about the partnership and expressed eagerness to jointly advance the infrastructure for tokenized equities, further broadening global financial accessibility.
Founded in 2015, Alpaca positions itself as a developer-first brokerage infrastructure firm, with a long-standing focus on asset custody and clearing. Through this collaboration, Reality will significantly enhance its underlying capabilities for tokenized US stocks and ETFs, laying a more robust compliance foundation for bringing traditional financial assets on-chain.
