Remittix went offline on July 22 after a 502 error blocked access to both its presale page and airdrop registration page for nearly two hours. The site is now back online. According to the project team, the interruption was tied to scheduled maintenance and infrastructure cleanup rather than any problem with user wallets, browsers, or local internet connections.
Presale and airdrop pages failed at the same time
The outage hit during the morning, and every attempt to load the presale dashboard or airdrop form failed. In its official statement, the team said the platform was taken offline while server work was completed. Backend upgrades ahead of a major sale milestone are common in crypto, especially when a public token sale is approaching the next funding threshold and traffic expectations are rising.
Recent domain and infrastructure changes drew extra attention
This was not the first infrastructure change tied to Remittix in recent weeks. In late June, the team completed a full domain migration, moving the public sale from its old address to remittixpresale.io and linking major pages through the updated setup. Before that move, the previous domain had also been upgraded to include the airdrop section, a live testing dashboard, and the launch price page. That sequence gives weight to the maintenance explanation, but another outage so close to migration and launch timing still invited scrutiny from some community members.
Pepeto comparisons surfaced, though no link has been shown
Part of that reaction came from comparisons to Pepeto, another presale project that saw its domain go down three times in roughly a month. CoinGabbar cited outages on April 28, May 9, and May 27. Those incidents were publicly described as hacks, yet each time a fresh domain appeared quickly and the token sale continued to collect funds. No evidence connects Remittix to that pattern, and the available record shows the two projects are unrelated, but repeated downtime in presale markets tends to attract closer inspection.
Funding figures kept moving during the interruption
Remittix said presale metrics were not paused by the outage. The sale is currently listed at 51.71%, with more than $30.866 million raised. The current RTX price is $0.18, up from $0.16, with the next price set at $0.19 and a listing price of $0.35. Based on the figures provided in the update, the presale remains about $1.1 million short of its first $32 million target and about $5.13 million away from the final $36 million goal.
Testing, listings, and airdrop plans remain in place
Outside the website issue, the project said its PayFi platform is still in early-access testing. The setup allows a connected wallet to send crypto that lands as fiat in a bank account across borders, while the team continues optimization work for the test group. Remittix also said launch listings are set for Uniswap on the DEX side, with BitMart and LBank named for centralized exchange access. Airdrop registration remains separate from presale participation, and eligible wallets must register before the claim window opens.
The project also noted that its 350% presale bonus ended on July 8, and the removal of that label from the site was included in the context around the latest upgrade work. At this stage, the confirmed facts are limited: the site is back, the presale is still running, and no evidence has surfaced pointing to a breach or a funding-side disruption.
