Revolut X, the crypto trading arm of Revolut, has officially integrated an AI assistant that lets users execute market and limit orders, check portfolio summaries, and set price alerts using plain text commands. The system connects with third-party tools including Claude, Gemini, OpenClaw, and Cursor, and can be accessed via a universal skill set or a GitHub command-line interface — no coding required.

Text commands replace complex menus

Users can type requests like “show BTC position summary” or “set a limit order for ETH” to get real-time data and complete trades. This eliminates the need to switch between interfaces or search through nested menus. Leonid Bashlykov, Head of Crypto Product at Revolut, said the AI assistant empowers investors with “faster workflows, smarter order execution, and enhanced compatibility with tools they already use.” The assistant also allows independent management of open positions, reducing the need to return to the Revolut X app for modifications or trade closure.

Strategy analysis: describe a grid in plain language

The platform introduces advanced strategy analysis: describe a 90-day Bitcoin grid trading strategy in natural language, and the system instantly returns historical performance, risk metrics, and optimization results — tasks that previously required technical expertise. However, Revolut made clear that every trade must be reviewed and approved by the customer before execution. The company does not endorse or guarantee third-party AI assistants’ performance and assumes no liability for losses from AI-driven errors, missed opportunities, or incorrect transactions.

MiCA compliance and USDT discontinuation

Revolut serves over 75 million individual customers globally, with more than 16 million using its crypto services. These offerings operate under Revolut Digital Assets Europe, licensed by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission under the EU’s MiCA framework. Notably, Revolut will discontinue support for Tether’s USDT for customers in the European Economic Area and Switzerland, joining a broader industry response to MiCA compliance requirements.

Revolut X launched its desktop service for UK users in May 2024, expanding to 30 European markets that year, followed by a mobile app for UK and EEA users in March 2025. Similar trends are emerging across the sector: Gemini launched Agentic Trading in April, Liquid introduced the Co Invest tool using ChatGPT and Claude in May, and Robinhood revealed plans to roll out Agentic Accounts for US crypto users.
