Riot Platforms has voluntarily repaid all outstanding borrowings and accrued interest under its Coinbase Credit loan and terminated the company’s $200 million credit facility, according to a filing submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The company said the repayment was made on Sept. 21 and did not trigger any early termination fee or penalty. The loan had previously been fully drawn, carried a fixed annual interest rate of 6.15%, and was originally scheduled to mature on April 20, 2027. Riot said the repayment came roughly seven months ahead of the revised maturity date. As of June 30, Riot had pledged 5,821 BTC as collateral for the loan, valued at about $340.7 million at the time and representing roughly 51% of the company’s total BTC holdings. With the debt repaid, Coinbase’s security interest in the pledged assets has been released. Riot had first obtained a $100 million bitcoin-backed loan in April 2025 before increasing the facility to $200 million the following month.
