Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse has declared the “Trump bull market” is real, pointing to a dramatic resurgence in the company's US operations. In a post on X on Sunday, Garlinghouse stated: “2025 is here and the Trump bull market is real.”
Ripple's US Reversal
Garlinghouse noted that under former SEC Chair Gary Gensler, Ripple's business opportunities in the US were “effectively frozen for years.” However, the landscape has shifted: 75% of Ripple's open roles are now US-based, compared to a majority of hires being overseas over the past four years. Furthermore, in the last six weeks of 2024 (since the election), Ripple signed more US deals than in the previous six months.
Trump Team Credited
The CEO attributed the shift to the incoming Trump administration's team, including Treasury Secretary nominee Scott Bessent, White House AI and Crypto Czar David Sacks, and SEC nominee Paul Atkins. He emphasized: “Team Trump is already jumpstarting innovation and job growth in the US… Say what you want, but the 'Trump effect' is already making crypto great again.”
Industry Optimism Builds
Garlinghouse also welcomed the 119th Congress, calling it “the most pro-crypto Congress in history.” He expressed excitement about industry momentum, saying “the journey is just beginning.” The comments reflect growing confidence among crypto leaders that a more favorable regulatory environment under the Trump administration could fuel further growth for blockchain and digital asset companies.
