According to CryptoComLearn, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse will appear at the Swell 2025 conference starting November 4, alongside U.S. digital asset advisor Patrick Witt to discuss advancements in financial infrastructure. Swell, Ripple's flagship annual event, gathers key figures from cryptocurrency, payments, and banking sectors, focusing on cross-border payments, regulatory compliance, and decentralized finance.
Garlinghouse and Witt to Explore Next-Gen Infrastructure
Garlinghouse's participation underscores Ripple's pivot role in modernizing global financial rails. Patrick Witt, a former U.S. government official involved in digital asset policy, now serves as an advisor. Their dialogue is expected to cover blockchain payment network use cases, RLUSD stablecoin applications, and XRP liquidity in global settlements. Market observers anticipate potential updates on Ripple's regulatory engagement and progress of the CLARITY Act, which could reshape digital asset classification.
Bitnomial Adds RLUSD, XRP as Margin Deposits
Separately, U.S. derivatives exchange Bitnomial announced support for Ripple USD (RLUSD) and XRP as margin collateral, opening access to institutional and retail traders. This allows users to deposit RLUSD and XRP as collateral for futures, options, and other derivatives. Bitnomial’s CEO stated: “As a compliant stablecoin, RLUSD combined with XRP dramatically improves capital efficiency, attracting traditional capital into the crypto derivatives market.”
RLUSD, a dollar-pegged stablecoin issued by Ripple on Ethereum and XRP Ledger, launched in late 2024 and currently has a market cap of approximately $120 million. Bitnomial’s integration expands RLUSD from a payment tool to a margin asset. XRP traded up 0.78% at press time, showing resilience amid traditional market fluctuations.
Swell 2025: Where Policy Meets Technology
This year's Swell coincides with critical progress on the U.S. CLARITY Act, which aims to clarify digital asset classification and is seen as a potential boon for XRP, ADA, HBAR, and XLM. Garlinghouse has repeatedly called for “clear and fair” crypto regulations; Swell 2025 includes multiple regulatory panels. Analysts suggest that CLARITY passage could exponentially boost institutional adoption of XRP.
In addition to the main stage, Swell 2025 features developer workshops and an ecosystem showcase with over 50 Ripple-powered projects. Ripple has not disclosed Garlinghouse's exact session time but confirmed his participation in a dialogue titled “The Next Decade of Financial Infrastructure.”
