Responsibilities include full lifecycle development, architecture input, C++ feature work, debugging, performance testing, and participation in XRPL code reviews. Candidates must have more than five years of C++ experience, a bachelor’s degree in computer science (or equivalent), expertise in distributed systems, and the ability to quickly learn new technologies.
The Senior Software Engineer (C++/Rust) role targets XRPL programmability and smart contract expansion, including maintaining core ledger components and supporting WebAssembly (Wasm) virtual machine integration. Ripple stated that proficiency in C++ and Rust, experience with WebAssembly runtimes, architectural engagement, system design documentation, and open-source stewardship are required.
