ROBA has launched the first publicly available version of its open robotics ecosystem, combining no-code tools, simulation, asset sharing, and token incentives in a single platform.

ROBA has launched the first publicly available version of its open and interoperable robotics ecosystem, describing itself as “the Hugging Face of Robotics.” The platform is aimed at a $218 billion industry and is built around a simple pitch: replace fragmented, closed robotics stacks with one connected workflow.

According to ROBA, robotics development remains split across too many disconnected tools. Building a single robot can require developers to move between data and AI frameworks, development environments, simulation systems, and template libraries, often relying on 10 or more separate platforms. ROBA says its platform brings those pieces together in one unified GUI and adds no-code features to reduce complexity.

A single workflow for building, training, sharing, and monetizing

The launch centers on two main components. One is a build layer that connects existing technologies across data and AI frameworks, developer tools, simulation, and template libraries. The other is a marketplace designed for sharing, versioning, and discovering robotics assets, models, and worlds. ROBA also includes challenge and evaluation packs, along with a dynamic talent pool intended to support collaboration.

ROBA frames the process as Build → Train → Share → Monetize. The company says developers should be able to learn quickly in simulation and then deploy safely in real-world settings. A supporting layer called ROBA Link acts as the middleware for aggregating third-party tools, SDKs, and APIs, while using agentic no-code functions to make those tools easier to use.

$ROBA token and RobaDAO sit at the center of the incentive model

Beyond development tooling, ROBA is attaching a token-based reward system to the platform. It describes the product as the first app store for robots where contributors are paid when their assets are used. The system runs on the $ROBA utility token, which is used for asset payments, contributor rewards, and governance through RobaDAO.

ROBA’s example is straightforward: a student uploads a drone template, a startup licenses it, and both receive token rewards through automated royalties. The company says about 30% of the $ROBA supply is allocated to the ecosystem and rewards. It also places strong emphasis on ownership, saying users should retain control over their data, assets, and revenue.

Leadership background and a long-term “Design-to-Doorstep Robotics” goal

ROBA says its team has built and shipped humanoid, service, and kitchen robots since 2018. The leadership and advisor group includes people with backgrounds at Accenture, Siemens, and a former Oculus/Meta robotics lead. The material also states that team members have delivered multiple programs valued at more than $100 million.

Its long-range vision is what ROBA calls “Design-to-Doorstep Robotics.” In that model, users would customize a robot shell, build its “brain” in a no-code studio, and receive a fully assembled machine ready to operate. For now, the launch marks ROBA’s attempt to build open robotics infrastructure and pull development out of closed corporate silos.
