Robinhood said its crypto notional trading volume reached $17.5 billion in August, marking a 61% increase from the previous month while falling 38% from a year earlier. The company broke out that figure into $7.4 billion from the Robinhood App and $10.1 billion from Bitstamp.
The August operating update also showed total platform assets at $383.7 billion, up 8% month over month. Funded customers rose to 28.6 million, an increase of 120,000 from the prior month. Outside crypto, Robinhood reported equity trading volumes of $335.4 billion and options volume of 292.5 million contracts.
The figures were disclosed in an official company announcement cited by PANews on Sept. 11. The release presented the data as operating information.
