Robinhood announced the launch of Agentic Trading and an Agentic Credit Card on July 22, letting users connect approved AI agents to dedicated trading and spending tools within its platform. The company said agents are kept away from users' main portfolios and primary card details.

Under Agentic Trading, customers can open a separate account for AI-driven trades. The agent only has access to funds placed in that account, leaving the main portfolio untouched. Users receive push alerts each time an agent places a trade and can monitor a real-time activity feed plus profit-and-loss details via Robinhood's apps. Customers can disconnect an agent at any time. The beta launch supports equities first; options, crypto, event contracts, futures, and other products are planned for later.

Dedicated Trading Account for AI Agents

Robinhood said the agentic trading account isolates AI activity from the user's core holdings. The agent can only execute trades with the funds allocated to that account, and users retain full control to stop automated trading instantly.

Credit Card with Spending Controls

For the Agentic Credit Card, AI agents connect to a dedicated virtual Robinhood Gold Card via Robinhood Banking's MCP server. During setup, users set a spending limit and decide whether the agent needs manual approval before completing purchases. By default, the agent can only use that virtual card and never sees the customer's primary card number or other account details. Agents can search for better prices, check availability, and make purchases based on instructions. Purchases earn 3% cash back.

Gold Card Customers Get First Access

The Agentic Credit Card is currently available to Robinhood Gold Card holders. Support for the Robinhood Platinum Card will follow after its launch later this year. Robinhood plans to add more features to both products in the coming weeks and months, targeting everyday investors and experienced users alike.

WonderFi Deal Expands Crypto Reach

The AI product launch coincides with Robinhood's continued crypto expansion outside the U.S. On May 20, the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization approved WonderFi subsidiary Coinsquare Capital Markets, clearing the last condition for the C$250 million acquisition. The deal is expected to close June 1, giving Robinhood a regulated crypto trading platform in Canada.
