Ronin, a blockchain tailored for Web3 gaming, has teamed up with Virtuals Protocol to integrate an artificial intelligence (AI) agent into its ecosystem. The partnership’s flagship creation is an AI agent named Jaihoz, modeled after Jeffrey Zirlin, co-founder of Sky Mavis – the studio behind Axie Infinity. Designed to mirror aspects of Zirlin’s online persona while adding autonomy and personality, Jaihoz is expected to interact with users on Ronin’s platform and social media.
$JAIHOZ Token and Multi-Chain Airdrop
The collaboration introduces the $JAIHOZ token, with a maximum supply of 1 billion units distributed across the Ronin and Base blockchains. To generate traction, an airdrop was conducted reaching over 100,000 wallets, including those linked to Ronin and Virtuals communities. Eligibility criteria were based on specific snapshot dates, targeting holders of designated NFTs such as Cyberkongz Genkai and Moki Genesis, along with Ronin stakers and guild participants.
AI Agents as a Growing Trend
Virtuals Protocol describes its platform as a means to simplify the creation and deployment of AI agents that can function as on-chain traders, social media influencers, or in-game non-playable characters (NPCs). The popularity of AI agents in crypto has surged in recent weeks. While the actual impact of Jaihoz remains to be seen, Ronin frames this initiative as part of its broader strategy to expand beyond gaming and attract innovative blockchain projects by early 2025.
