LYTE begins trading

Roundhill said on August 7 that its Roundhill Photonics and Optics ETF, ticker LYTE, has started trading.

The firm said optical interconnects have become a key bottleneck in AI infrastructure as AI data centers replace copper links with faster and more efficient optical connections.

Roundhill added that the AI optical module market is expected to grow 57% this year, rising from $16.5 billion to $26 billion.

Holdings and positioning

LYTE invests in leading companies across the global photonics and optics sector, giving investors concentrated exposure to the industry.

According to the fund’s published holdings, its top positions include Lumentum Holdings Inc. (LITE) at 15.42% and Coherent Corp. (COHR) at 15.23%.

Chinese A-share names Eoptolink, Innolight, and Tianfu Communication account for 14.59%, 14.22% and 7.9%, respectively.
