A new website dedicated to tracking cryptocurrency teller machines and exchange points has been launched in Russia. Cryptocoinmap.ru currently displays locations in Moscow, with plans for worldwide expansion. The platform was developed by Russian companies Nanobit and Sova.rf and aims to serve both local users and international crypto enthusiasts.
Key Features: Yandex Maps Integration and Multi-Currency Support
As reported by CryptoComLearn, the site currently lists 6 Bitcoin ATMs and 1 exchange bureau across the Russian capital. Supported cryptocurrencies include Bitcoin Core (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), and Dash. The platform leverages Yandex Maps, Russia's primary alternative to Google Maps, to provide addresses, business hours, surroundings imagery, and real-time traffic directions for each location.
Users can filter results by operating hours, available services, and supported coins. Exchange rates are sourced from major global and local digital asset exchanges such as Bitfinex, Coinbase, Kraken, Bitstamp, Bittrex, Poloniex, Cex, Exmo, Livecoin, and Yobit. Price movement graphs display daily, weekly, and yearly trends. The interface also displays prices in multiple fiat currencies including the Russian ruble, U.S. dollar, British pound, Japanese yen, Chinese yuan, Indian Rupee, and Kazakhstani tenge.
Legal Compliance and Expansion Roadmap
The developers emphasize that only legally operating ATMs and exchange points are listed. Businesses seeking listing must provide proof of tax compliance and financial solvency. Currently limited to seven Moscow locations, Nanobit and Sova.rf have announced plans to add 200 new locations by the end of the first quarter of 2026, eventually covering over 100 regions worldwide.
For comparison, the leading global tracker Coinatmradar boasts over 4,000 cryptocurrency ATMs operated by 520 companies in 74 countries. According to their data, at least 11 Bitcoin ATMs exist in and around Moscow as of December 2018, suggesting Cryptocoinmap's initial listing may be incomplete. However, the site's local compliance focus and integration with Russia's Yandex ecosystem could give it a competitive edge in the domestic market.
Future Outlook
While Cryptocoinmap is still in its early stages, its distinctive approach—prioritizing legal compliance and local mapping—positions it as a niche tool for crypto cash transactions in Russia. As it expands globally, it will face direct competition from established platforms like Coinatmradar. Nevertheless, its specialized compliance model may attract users concerned about regulatory risks. The project's success will depend on timely expansion, data accuracy, and user adoption.
