Samsung Electronics is expanding its NAND flash partnership with Nvidia, according to a July 21 update cited by BlockBeats. Industry sources said Samsung has built V-NAND capacity of more than 100,000 wafers per month and is now mass-producing its 10th-generation V10 product for Nvidia. The report also said about 60% of Samsung’s V-NAND capacity has been allocated to V9 flash to meet NAND demand tied to Nvidia’s CMX, which is set for launch in the second half of the year. Separately, Samsung has begun trial production of 500-layer V11 flash. That pilot line started earlier this year, and the company plans to double related output in the second half. The report did not disclose further commercial terms or shipment figures.
