Bitcoin's recent rally above $6,000 has catapulted the estimated value of Satoshi Nakamoto’s holdings to more than $6 billion, qualifying the anonymous creator of Bitcoin for inclusion on Forbes’ list of the world’s richest individuals. At current prices, Nakamoto’s believed 1,000,000 bitcoins would rank him at number 237 on the Forbes billionaire index, tied with South African tycoon Johann Rupert and Swedish heir Jorn Rausing.

Satoshi Nakamoto’s $6 Billion Fortune

Based on the circulating supply of over 16.6 million bitcoins, Satoshi is estimated to control approximately 5.89% of all coins. His stash now exceeds the wealth of Alibaba co-founder Joseph Tsai, Australian mining magnate Andrew Forrest, and Walmart heiress Ann Walton Kroenke. The largest known Bitcoin wallet is Bitfinex’s cold storage, which holds more than 168,000 bitcoins (1% of supply), while the second-largest was previously owned by the U.S. government after seizing 144,336 bitcoins from the Silk Road marketplace.

Bitcoin Market Cap Surpasses $100 Billion

Bitcoin’s market capitalization has surged past $100 billion to approximately $102 billion, making it the 73rd largest asset globally — ahead of Goldman Sachs, China Petroleum & Chemical, and Bayer. Since October 15, Bitcoin’s market cap has grown over 8%, while the total cryptocurrency market cap has contracted slightly from $175.2 billion to $173.4 billion, indicating a rotation of capital into Bitcoin.

Bitcoin Dominance Recovers

Bitcoin’s dominance — its share of the total crypto market cap — has climbed from 54.4% on October 15 to 59.1%, as traders shifted funds into Bitcoin following its breakout above the $5,000 resistance and new all-time highs. The resurgence reflects Bitcoin’s renewed appeal as a store of value, while altcoins lose relative momentum.
