Michael Saylor has posted another familiar hint that Strategy may be preparing a new bitcoin purchase. Days after the company disclosed a $1.25 billion buy of 13,627 BTC, Saylor shared a StrategyTracker screenshot on X showing bitcoin’s price and markers tied to the firm’s previous buys, with the caption “Bigger Orange.” He has used similar posts before formal purchase disclosures in the past.

Two January purchases pushed holdings above 687,000 BTC

Strategy started 2026 with an acquisition of 1,283 BTC on Jan. 4 for $115.97 million. It then followed on Jan. 11 with a much larger purchase, spending $1.25 billion to acquire 13,627 BTC. According to StrategyTracker, the company has added 14,910 BTC since the beginning of 2026.

That brought Strategy’s total bitcoin holdings to 687,410 BTC, with an average purchase price of $75,353 per coin. With bitcoin trading a little above $92,600 during Monday morning hours in Asia, the position remains profitable on paper. The margin is still there. The exposure is also getting larger.

Stock pressure remains despite paper gains in bitcoin

The bitcoin trade has not removed pressure on the company’s shares. Over the past year, Strategy stock has trailed and fallen sharply from earlier highs. The report said the company has financed purchases through a mix of capital-raising tools, including convertible note sales. That structure can keep cash costs relatively low, but it can also add leverage.

Bitcoin slips 2.6% as risk assets weaken

Bitcoin was trading just above $92,600 in Asian morning trading on Monday, down 2.6% over the previous 24 hours. The move came as a tariff dispute between the United States and Europe weighed on risk assets. For now, the market is watching whether Saylor’s latest post will once again be followed by a formal disclosure of another purchase.
