Background and Threat Escalation
SecondFi has issued an official security advisory, warning that malicious activities and impersonation attempts related to recent incidents have surged significantly. While specific attack vectors or the amount of funds affected were not disclosed, the platform has categorized the situation as high-risk and urged all users to exercise extreme caution. At this stage, any deposits to existing SecondFi wallets are considered potentially compromised, and users are instructed to refrain from adding funds until further notice.
Wallet Check Mechanism Coming Early Next Week
SecondFi plans to launch a dedicated tool early next week, enabling users to independently verify whether their wallets have been impacted by the security incident. The tool will provide clear indicators of any contamination and will simultaneously outline a secure migration process, allowing users to smoothly withdraw assets from the platform once safety is confirmed. Until the tool is released, users should not perform any recovery actions; wallets must remain untouched, awaiting official restoration instructions.
Recovery Process and Anti-Phishing Reminders
No user-initiated recovery operations are currently active. SecondFi explicitly states that under no circumstances will it request private keys, seed phrases, or wallet credentials, nor will it ask users to transfer assets to any address. All support requests must be submitted solely through official channels to avoid falling prey to impersonation scams. Whale accounts and high-balance addresses are especially advised to be vigilant and disregard any instructions from non-official sources.
