Listing Details: SPAC Merger Brings Securitize to NYSE
On July 2, Securitize, a leading tokenization platform for real-world assets (RWA), will begin trading on the New York Stock Exchange after completing its merger with Cantor Equity Partners II, a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) affiliated with Cantor Fitzgerald. The combined entity will trade under the ticker SECZ, and the deal is expected to raise approximately $400 million in capital.
Asset Scale and Institutional Partnerships
Securitize currently oversees over $4 billion in assets under management (AUM), making it one of the largest tokenization platforms globally. The company has forged strategic partnerships with some of the world's most prominent financial institutions: BlackRock, Apollo Global Management, Hamilton Lane, KKR, and VanEck. These partnerships focus on the issuance and management of tokenized funds, private equity, credit assets, and other alternative investments, leveraging blockchain technology to improve liquidity, transparency, and accessibility.
Tokenization Goes Mainstream
Securitize's CEO stated that the NYSE listing will provide the company with enhanced market visibility, credibility, and capital access, enabling it to drive tokenization into the mainstream financial ecosystem. This milestone not only marks a significant leap for Securitize but also signals accelerating momentum for the entire RWA tokenization sector, as traditional finance increasingly embraces on-chain asset representation. Industry observers note that with major asset managers like BlackRock already piloting tokenized funds (e.g., BUIDL), Securitize's public listing could pave the way for broader institutional adoption and regulatory clarity in the digital asset space.
