SeeDAO has announced that it is returning after being paused for nearly a year following last year’s 12th Node Consensus Conference. In its post, the community said that during the pause it went through various explorations, discussions and attempts, and also discussed whether to shut down permanently. The final decision was not to take that step.

Restart approved by existing nodes

The post described the pause as a collective break for community members. Lizi compared it to a group of people taking a proper vacation after working for a long time, saying that a gap or rest can also be part of setting off again in a better and more relaxed way.

Against that backdrop, Baiyu initiated a voting proposal to restart SeeDAO. On June 17, the proposal was approved by the nodes of the 12th Node Consensus Conference, referring to the existing nodes, and SeeDAO formally restarted.

Investor funds fully returned

SeeDAO also stated that, as of now, it has fully returned the investment funds of all previous investors. According to the post, this marks SeeDAO’s complete farewell to its history as a Web3 project party. The community said it no longer carries the pressure of having to report to investors, and no longer needs to carry out financialized actions generated by that pressure.

The post expressed deep thanks to the investors who had supported SeeDAO. It also said that some investors were still willing to continue supporting SeeDAO after learning that the community planned to return the funds. However, because SeeDAO had not yet thought through its next commercial prospects, that support was declined.

The post explained that investors’ money is also money. Since the narrative SeeDAO once believed in has dimmed, and since a new commercial direction has not been clearly considered, accepting those funds would be irresponsible. The post said it would be better to let friends who still like the community participate without pressure.

SeeDAO’s points clearance process is still ongoing. Members who want to redeem points but have not yet done so can visit the website provided by SeeDAO: https://claim.seedao.xyz/ .
