Odaily reported that Serenity, known in Chinese crypto and investment circles as the “new stock god,” posted that the Trump administration is gradually recognizing a shift in the real leverage behind trade wars. According to Serenity, the decisive bargaining chips are no longer traditional goods exports, but frontier supply chains tied to quantum computing, artificial intelligence and robotics.

Critical supply-chain nodes sit with U.S. allies

Serenity said the most important nodes in these supply chains are currently held mainly by U.S. allies. The post specifically named ASML in the Netherlands and its EUV lithography machines, as well as Japan’s TOWA, Ibiden and Ajinomoto, which control advanced packaging materials and equipment. Serenity also pointed to key roles played by Taiwan, South Korea and the European Union across the chip industry chain.

In Serenity’s view, imposing broad tariffs on allies would weaken the United States’ ability to integrate critical global resources. The post argued that if the U.S. wants to gain an advantage in future trade competition, repairing relationships with allies and turning global supply chains into strategic leverage would be more effective than unilateral pressure.
