The Smarter Web Company has added 10 more Bitcoin to its treasury, paying an average of £55,786 per BTC for a total outlay of £557,865. After the purchase, the UK-listed company said its total Bitcoin holdings reached 2,869 BTC.
In its May 26 disclosure, the company said its aggregate Bitcoin investment now stands at £232.48 million. Across the full position, the average acquisition cost is £81,032 per BTC, or about $109,000. That means the latest purchase was made below the firm’s existing cost basis. Based on the pound-to-dollar figure in the filing, the new coins were acquired at roughly $74,904 each.
Coinbase credit line remains part of the treasury playbook
The company said the latest buy was supported by continued use of a credit facility arranged with Coinbase. So far, it has drawn £18 million under that facility.
Its disclosed leverage ratio is about 12.19%. The borrowing is secured against existing Bitcoin holdings, showing that part of the company’s BTC position is being used to back ongoing treasury activity. The loan carries a variable interest rate of 6.75% to 7.25%, and the company said it can repay the balance at any time without penalty.
Bitcoin yield stays central in company reporting
Management said quarter-to-date Bitcoin yield came in at 15.43%. The firm uses that metric to track changes in Bitcoin holdings relative to its fully diluted share count, and it remains one of the main measures in its treasury reporting.
The Smarter Web Company, which provides web design, development, and online marketing services, started accepting Bitcoin payments in 2022. Since then, it has incorporated Bitcoin into its corporate treasury plans and kept building the position.
Public treasury companies continue adding BTC
Based on figures included in the latest update, The Smarter Web Company now ranks 27th among publicly listed Bitcoin treasury companies by total holdings. Its 2,869 BTC stack keeps it in the group of listed firms using Bitcoin as a balance-sheet asset.
The broader sector is moving in the same direction, though with different structures. The report noted that Strive recently said its SATA preferred stock absorbed about 453 Bitcoin in a single day, more than daily mining supply. Strategy has also kept increasing its Bitcoin position while reducing debt through other financing moves. Related reports said it repurchased $1.5 billion of convertible debt at an 8% discount and raised its holdings to 843,738 BTC.
The Smarter Web Company also said it is pursuing acquisitions to expand its client base and recurring revenue while continuing to grow its Bitcoin treasury. With the latest 10 BTC purchase completed, that strategy remains in place.
