Solana surged 11% to an intraday high of $88.89 on Sunday, leading the crypto rebound after heavy weekend liquidations swept over $500 million from positions. According to CoinGecko, the broader market recovered roughly $32 billion in value, following a $128 billion plunge the day before.

At press time, SOL traded near $85.30, up 9.22% in 24 hours while still down slightly on the week. Among top 10 assets by market cap, Solana showed stronger upward momentum during the recovery window.

Market Reprices After Saturday Sell-off

The bounce occurred ahead of traditional futures market open, as investors reassessed positions after digesting global developments and stronger-than-expected US producer price data. Thin weekend liquidity amplified both the sell-off and the recovery.

Bitcoin and other majors also posted gains, but weekly performance remained mixed. Traders monitored equity signals for short-term crypto direction. Despite the visible recovery, market participants continued searching for firmer support levels.

Technical Focus: $105 Resistance in Sight

Solana reversed a two-day decline that pushed the price to $77.13 on Feb. 28. The rebound carried the token close to $89 before easing. Analysts now watch the $105 level, which aligns with the daily 50-day moving average.

According to Alicharts, Solana is forming a flag pattern on the daily chart. The structure remains valid only if price holds above the $76 support zone. Traders track this level closely as momentum builds.

Ecosystem: SoFi Enables Deposits, Tether Gold Volume Hits $78M

Beyond price action, Solana recorded notable ecosystem activity. Payments.org launched to expand stablecoin use cases on the network. SoFi supported Solana deposits, becoming the first US chartered bank to do so.

Tether Gold trading on Solana saw seven-day volume reach $78 million. Standard Chartered analyst Geoffrey Kendrick said stablecoin micropayments could support longer-term growth, though he cut his 2026 SOL price forecast to $250 from $310.

The weekend rebound highlighted renewed buying interest. Yet traders continue assessing liquidity conditions and broader market signals as Solana approaches key technical thresholds.
