Solana client developer Anza said in a post on X that SIMD-0525 has been completed and that 200-millisecond slots are now live on the Solana mainnet beta. According to Anza, the network’s block landing frequency has reached twice the level seen at genesis, while the duration of one epoch has been reduced from about two days to about one day. Anza was formed by members of the former core engineering team at Solana Labs and maintains Agave, the Solana validator client.
