Solana (SOL) traded at $85.39 after falling 3.50% on the day, a decline of $3.10. The token sits just below its 50-day moving average, leaving short-term resistance in place, while still holding above the 20-day average, which points to limited support from recent buying. On a longer timeframe, SOL remains well below its 200-day moving average. Bearish pressure is still present.
The setup is mixed. Near-term support has not fully broken, but it has not produced a convincing recovery either.
wXRP rollout adds cross-chain liquidity to Solana
Solana Foundation confirmed a direct purchase of wrapped XRP, or wXRP, to support early integration tied to Ripple. The transaction covered about 6,561 wXRP, valued at roughly $10,000, and was executed on the Solana network.
The launch also came with more than $100 million in initial liquidity aimed at expanding adoption. Separate network data in the source showed Solana led on-chain spot trading volume in the first quarter, accounting for 41% of total activity. Price weakness continues, yet network usage is still expanding.
Indicators remain split as momentum stays weak
Technical readings do not point to a firm directional move. MACD and ADX both reflect neutral conditions, while RSI near 51 suggests balanced participation rather than strong buying interest. At the same time, Stochastic RSI and CCI indicate overbought conditions, leaving room for downside pressure in the short term.
Bollinger Band positioning shows short-term buying pressure even as the price declines. That divergence leaves the market without a clean signal, and traders are left watching for confirmation that has not arrived.
$85 support is in focus with $82 to $88 as the near-term range
SOL is trading close to immediate support around $85, with the Ichimoku Kijun line acting as a nearby floor. Price action near daily lows suggests sellers remain active through the session, though volatility is still moderate rather than disorderly.
For the next five days, the source expects SOL to trade between $82 and $88 in a tight consolidation band. The probability of an upward move is listed below 20%, with several indicators still favoring sellers. A break above $88 would need stronger momentum confirmation, while a drop below $82 could open the way for more downside.
