Solana has rebounded above $81, with traders focusing on resistance at $83-$84, upside potential toward $86-$87, and crucial support at $79-$80 after a SOL/BTC breakout.

Solana has climbed back above $81, but the market focus is now on a tight set of technical levels rather than a single headline price. Traders are watching resistance at $83 to $84, a higher target at $86 to $87, and near-term support at $79 to $80. Those zones may shape the next move.

SOL/BTC breakout draws attention

Analyst ChiefraFba said the SOL/BTC pair has broken above a multi-month downtrend. The chart shared in the report shows a move from 0.00108 toward 0.00133, a shift that is being read as a possible reversal. That matters because periods of strength against Bitcoin have often supported stronger dollar-denominated performance for Solana.

Under that setup, the first major test sits in the $83 to $84 range. If bulls clear that band, attention shifts to the next upside area near $87.

The $79 to $80 zone remains the short-term line

Crypto Tony said SOL could resume its climb after a brief pullback if price keeps holding the most important support area. Right now, that area is $79 to $80. As long as Solana stays above it, the path remains open for another move into $83 to $84 and then toward $86 to $87.

A break below $79 would weaken that structure. In that case, the market could retest support at $77 and $75, putting the recent rebound under pressure.

Wyckoff pattern and whale positioning keep risk in view

Some analysts are also pointing to signs of a Wyckoff accumulation structure on the daily chart. Nebraskangooner compared recent price action with traditional accumulation stages and argued that Solana may be entering a stronger recovery phase. For that view to gain traction, SOL would need to hold the $75 to $77 area and reclaim the $85 to $90 range. Sustained trading above $90 would strengthen the recovery case.

Positioning data adds another layer. Ted Pillows said a large trader opened a $21.67 million SOL long using 20x leverage, with entry at $80.04 and liquidation at $63.64. At the same time, Max Crypto highlighted a sharp drop in major SOL long positions on Bitfinex, and similar setups in the past were followed by price pullbacks of nearly 14%. If the $79 to $80 support holds, selling may reflect profit-taking. If it fails, downside levels around $75 and even $70 come back into focus.
