Solana Mobile has officially launched the SKR airdrop for Seeker smartphone users and ecosystem developers. The token has a fixed total supply of 10 billion, with approximately 20% or 2 billion SKR allocated to eligible users and builders. The initiative marks a major step toward an open, community-driven mobile platform, the company said on Jan. 21.
Airdrop Mechanics: Claiming and Deadline
Seeker users can claim SKR directly through the built-in Seed Vault wallet on their device by navigating to the Activity Tracking tab. A small amount of SOL is required to cover network fees. The claim window is 90 days; any unclaimed tokens will be returned to the pool.
Developers who shipped approved apps to the Solana Mobile dApp Store during Season 1 can claim via the Publishing Portal. Solana Mobile described this as a reward for early builders who helped bring the Seeker platform to life.
Token Utility: Staking, Governance, Security
SKR serves as both a governance and utility token within the Solana Mobile ecosystem. Holders can stake tokens to earn rewards, participate in community governance, influence app discovery and curation in the decentralized app store, and contribute to device security through the Guardians system.
Staking is already live. Inflation events occur every 48 hours, providing ongoing yield for delegators.
At press time, SKR was trading at around $0.0101, giving it a market cap of approximately $56.6 million. The circulating supply stands at roughly 5.7 billion, while the fully diluted valuation is about $99.3 million.
Trading and Early Market Response
SKR is listed on major Solana decentralized exchanges including Raydium, Jupiter, Orca, and Meteora, as well as centralized platforms such as Crypto.com, Bybit, KuCoin, Gate.io, and Bitget.
The price has been volatile since launch, which is typical for new token issuances. Solana Mobile stressed that SKR’s long-term value is tied to ecosystem engagement and usage, not short-term speculation.
Seeker Season 2 Underway
With SKR live, Solana Mobile confirmed that Seeker Season 2 has already started. The new season introduces fresh apps, rewards, and activity-based incentives, encouraging users to move beyond token claiming and into active participation.
The company continues to build toward a community-focused, open mobile platform, with SKR playing a central role in governance, staking, and application usage.
