Solana Mobile has started distributing its native token, SKR, to Seeker smartphone users and app developers. Eligible users can claim tokens directly on their Seeker device through Seed Vault Wallet starting January 21. Any allocation left unclaimed after 90 days will be returned to the airdrop pool.
The rollout includes both end users and builder teams. Solana Mobile said developers that published approved apps during Season 1 of the Seeker dApp Store can claim SKR through the Publishing Portal. In total, about 2 billion SKR has been set aside for users and developers, equal to roughly 20% of the token’s fixed 10 billion supply.
How claims work on Seeker devices
To receive SKR, Seeker users need to open the Activity Tracking tab on their phone and complete the claim steps from there. A small amount of SOL is required to cover network fees. The claim window is limited, and unclaimed tokens do not remain pending indefinitely; they return to the pool once the 90-day period ends.
Developers follow a separate path. Instead of using the handset interface, eligible teams access their allocation through Solana Mobile’s Publishing Portal. That split distribution model shows SKR is being directed both to device owners and to teams that helped populate the app ecosystem early.
SKR is built around staking, governance, and app curation
According to Solana Mobile, SKR has two core roles inside the ecosystem: governance and utility. Holders can stake tokens, participate in community decisions, discover and rate apps, and support device security through a mechanism called Guardians. Staking is already live, allowing holders to delegate SKR and receive rewards.
The issuance schedule is also active, with new tokens added every 48 hours. Solana Mobile describes the system as one designed to reward continued participation over time rather than short-term trading activity alone.
Market data and the launch of Seeker Season 2
At the time of reporting, SKR was trading near $0.0101, implying a market capitalization of about $56.6 million. Circulating supply stood at roughly 5.7 billion SKR. On a fully diluted basis using the full 10 billion token supply, valuation was about $99.3 million.
SKR is available on Solana-based decentralized exchanges including Raydium, Jupiter, Orca, and Meteora, and it is also listed on centralized platforms such as Crypto.com, Bybit, KuCoin, Gate.io, and Bitget. Solana Mobile said the release of SKR also marks the start of Seeker Season 2, which adds new apps, rewards, and activity-based incentives across areas such as DeFi, gaming, payments, and other decentralized services. The Android-based Seeker device, which succeeds Saga, includes Seed Vault hardware security and a Solana dApp Store. The company said it has received more than 150,000 preorders, with shipments reaching 50+ countries.
