TechFlow’s June 18, 2026 edition of its intelligence roundup said its AI Agent patrolled more than 200 global information sources across crypto, AI and technology, filtering out 99% of the noise and keeping the signals it considered most relevant for the day. The issue was led by two headline items: tokenized stock trading on Solana reached a record level, while OpenAI was reported to have generated $13 billion in 2025 revenue but also recorded losses of $38.5 billion.
OpenAI’s losses, Anthropic’s comments and AI safety concerns
In the AI and large-model section, Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei spoke openly in a recent interview about why he left OpenAI. He said he “could not trust a person whose pattern of behavior was disturbing and dishonest.” TechFlow described the remarks as a rare public statement about internal tensions in Silicon Valley’s AI circle, and noted that community discussion viewed the comments as validating rumors about governance turmoil inside OpenAI. The listed sources for this item were Reddit and video content.
OpenAI’s financial figures were another major item. Citing BlockNow, TechFlow reported that OpenAI’s 2025 revenue reached $13 billion, while its losses amounted to $38.5 billion. The roundup said that even though revenue surged, out-of-control costs produced a massive loss, leaving the company’s commercialization path under heavy pressure. Its editorial comment said OpenAI lost the equivalent of “three and a half Twitter acquisition prices” in one year, and that Sam Altman’s idea that “AGI needs money-burning” was facing the market’s harshest pressure test.
The same AI section also covered a security issue involving Microsoft Copilot. A vulnerability called “SearchLeak” was reported, and security researchers warned that it can be used for data theft and may expose user emails and two-factor authentication codes. Microsoft had not issued an official response at the time cited by the roundup. DeepSeek was also included: the United States listed more than 100 companies as security risks, but DeepSeek was not included; at the same time, users debated clear changes in the chain of thought shown by the web version’s “fast mode.” Midjourney launched a Medical vertical application and entered the medical imaging generation field, while compliance and accuracy remained disputed. Hacker News had 523 comments questioning the ethical boundaries of medical AI generation.
Solana becomes the main venue for tokenized stock trading
In crypto and Web3, TechFlow described Solana as the main battlefield for on-chain stock trading. Tokenized stocks recorded $142 million in single-day trading volume the previous day, marking the largest daily volume ever for the category. Of that total, 97% took place on Solana. The roundup also said that SpaceX-related tokenized stock $SPCX generated $3.1 billion in cumulative trading volume across the nine days before and after its IPO, and that Hyperliquid is becoming a new place for pre-IPO price discovery. The sources listed for this item were Twitter/Buffalu and Twitter/Grayscale.
Exchange-related news included OKX announcing that the RE token would be listed for spot trading, while its pre-market futures would be converted into a standard perpetual contract. South Korean exchange Upbit also designated AERGO as a trading warning item. TechFlow attributed this section to Twitter/6551News, with the update focused on listing arrangements, contract conversion and trading-risk notices.
Chips, hardware and technology companies
The chips and hardware section covered AMD, SK Hynix and China’s display industry. Tom’s Hardware reported that AMD quietly removed a memory-encryption feature from consumer Ryzen CPUs in a new AGESA firmware release. The security feature was deleted without direct user awareness, leaving users exposed to vulnerabilities, while AMD engineers remained silent. SK Hynix began supplying samples of its next-generation AI memory, the 12-layer stacked HBM4E. TechFlow said the AI chip arms race is moving into the memory side. Tight TSMC capacity was pushing up demand for Samsung foundry services, and industry discussion said the DRAM supply chain crunch could continue until 2027. A Cailian Press compilation also said China’s first 8.6-generation AMOLED production line began mass production in Chengdu with a total investment of RMB 63 billion. The launch of the first global production lines of this generation marked China’s display industry entering a higher-generation OLED phase.
In technology-company news, Apple CEO Tim Cook said RAM costs were “unsustainable” and that iPhone prices would rise. The Verge reported that AI functions are increasing memory requirements, and that Apple publicly said it would pass those costs on to consumers. TechFlow described this as a rare early price-increase warning from Apple in recent years. Xiaomi was also named in a criminal case involving AI-generated false information: Xi’an police solved a case involving the use of AI to create fabricated information and arrested four people. TechFlow called it China’s first publicly reported criminal case involving AI rumor generation, saying regulation has started to target generative-AI misuse. A Zhihu discussion had 580,000 views, with users focusing on the legal boundaries of AI-generated rumors. Ars Technica separately reported a large-scale data leak that exposed thousands of sensitive network credentials and affected a wide range of networks, including multiple critical infrastructure systems.
Finance, geopolitics, new products and digital inheritance
In the U.S. equities and finance section, NASA selected a rocket company founded by former Google CEO Eric Schmidt to carry out a Mars mission, creating competition with SpaceX. Related TechCrunch reports also said Sequoia partner Roelof Botha joined the SpaceX board. In U.S. politics and energy, Donald Trump defended a U.S.-Iran agreement by saying he did not want to see an economic disaster and did not want to be Hoover, who led to the 1929 crash. The United States and Iran reached a memorandum of understanding under which Iran agreed to dilute its enriched uranium stockpile in exchange for sanctions relief. The first shipment of Iranian oil had already broken through the U.S. blockade and headed to the market. Republican Senator Bill Cassidy criticized the deal as “the worst diplomatic mistake in decades,” while market discussion worried that changes around the Strait of Hormuz would alter the global energy landscape.
Geopolitical risk also appeared through Ukraine and Germany. Ukraine carried out a second airstrike on a Moscow refinery within one week, and Germany sent warships to the Red Sea. CNN and Twitter/FirstSquawk information said the crude-oil supply chain was under pressure again. Germany’s defense minister said two warships had been dispatched to respond to military actions related to the Strait of Hormuz. TechFlow’s comment on this section said Trump did not want to be Hoover, but the market had already started pricing him; the narrative was moving from “Make America Great Again” to “do not let the economy crash again,” with a downgrade speed compared to DeepSeek’s chain of thought.
The new-products and trends section included Lore, an open-source version control system designed for scalability. It received 1,150 votes and 611 comments on Hacker News and was described as a challenger to Git. A domestic digital-property case was also covered: a mother sued to inherit 87 game accounts left by her deceased son and received court support, while the platform’s standard terms were ruled invalid. TechFlow called it China’s first successful publicly reported case on virtual-property inheritance and said it would change account-ownership rules in the gaming industry. A Zhihu discussion on the topic had 8.64 million views, with users focusing on digital-legacy rights. The Chinese indie game The Scroll of Taiwu also released its 1.0 complete edition after eight years of development, and Zhihu discussions about its degree of completion reached 1.28 million views.
TechFlow’s “hidden thread of the day” connected Apple’s AI-related price increase, OpenAI’s cash-burning losses, the Copilot vulnerability and AMD’s removal of a security feature. The roundup said the cost of the AI boom is being transmitted from capital markets to consumers and to the security baseline. At the same time, record on-chain stock trading and Trump’s compromise with Iran to avoid an economic crash were grouped as another expression of anxiety around costs, geopolitical risk and who pays the bill.
