Solana core development team Anza said the activation of Transaction V1 on the beta mainnet has been rescheduled to begin at epoch 1035, which it expects to occur at 9:20 a.m. Beijing time on Sept. 15. According to Anza, the change came after ecosystem participants said they needed more time to test and integrate V1. Anza also urged teams to start testing as soon as possible because V1 is already live on devnet. The team said V1 compute budgets must now be set through a new transaction configuration. The old compute budget instruction will still work for legacy and V0 transactions, but it becomes a no-op in V1. Anza added that some of the changes may still affect applications even if they do not plan to send V1 transactions.
