SoSoValue data shows AI sector up 2.10% in 24 hours while GameFi drops more than 4%

Crypto sector performance was mixed on Sept. 7, according to SoSoValue, with the AI segment posting the strongest gain over the past 24 hours. The sector rose 2.10%, led by Bittensor (TAO), which climbed 10.03%, and Pieverse (PIEVERSE), which added 5.18%. Major cryptocurrencies moved slightly lower during the same period. Bitcoin (BTC) slipped 0.11% and fell back below $80,000, while Ethereum (ETH) also declined 0.11% and held near $2,500. Other sectors also recorded gains, including DeFi, Layer2, PayFi, and Layer1. Within those groups, Raydium (RAY), Celestia (TIA), Zcash (ZEC), and Injective (INJ) were among the strongest performers. On the downside, CeFi fell 1.87% and Meme lost 2.26%, with Binance Coin (BNB), Pons (PONS), and MarsCoin (MARSCOIN) all posting losses. SoSoValue’s sector indexes tracking historical performance also moved higher for ssiAI, ssiDeFi, and ssiLayer2.

Among major assets, Bitcoin (BTC) slipped 0.11% and moved back below $80,000. Ethereum (ETH) also fell 0.11% and stayed around $2,500.

Gaining sectors

Several other segments also posted gains over the past 24 hours.

  • DeFi rose 1.21%, with Raydium (RAY) up 34.80%.
  • Layer2 gained 0.82%, led by Celestia (TIA), which climbed 11.07%.
  • PayFi added 0.53%, while Zcash (ZEC) rose 10.94%.
  • Layer1 edged up 0.27%, with Injective (INJ) gaining 7.30%.

Declining sectors

On the losing side, CeFi fell 1.87%, and Binance Coin (BNB) dropped 2.36%. The Meme sector declined 2.26%, with Pons (PONS) down 15.43% and MarsCoin (MARSCOIN) falling 33.83%.

Sector indexes tracking historical market performance also moved higher. SoSoValue’s ssiAI, ssiDeFi, and ssiLayer2 indexes rose 4.27%, 1.17%, and 1.01%, respectively.
