South Korea’s Financial Intelligence Unit said a relevant review body has decided to block domestic access to, or terminate services from, the websites of 27 unregistered virtual asset service providers. The list includes KuCoin, MEXC, BingX, Phemex and BitMart. The move expands earlier restrictions that had already covered app downloads, installation and updates for the same platforms. The FIU also said it has referred 44 unregistered operators to investigative authorities and will continue blocking alternative web addresses. The announcement marks a broader enforcement step from app-level restrictions to website access controls inside South Korea.
