Upbit KRW Listing Triggers Sharp SPK Rally

SPK posted a strong breakout after Upbit confirmed a listing on its KRW market, with the token surging 73%. The move gave SPK direct access to South Korea’s highly active retail trading base, and the listing on one of the country’s largest crypto exchanges quickly became the main catalyst behind the price reaction.

Market activity accelerated alongside the rally. SPK recorded $895.67 million in 24-hour trading volume, while its market capitalization climbed to $127.67 million. Although the token saw a modest pullback after the initial spike, it continued to trade near $0.049, showing that much of the momentum remained intact after the announcement.

Staking Growth Supports Lockup Narrative

At the same time, Spark said that 509.9 million SPK tokens are now staked. That figure reinforced the market narrative around reduced circulating supply, as more tokens are being locked rather than remaining freely tradable. For traders, the combination of fresh exchange access and a growing staked base helped strengthen the bullish case around SPK in the near term.

The rally was also supported by large deposits and staking rewards, both of which added to positive market sentiment. The report further noted that F2Pool co-founder Wang Chun expressed regret over selling his SPK holdings, a comment that underscored the token’s rapidly rising profile as momentum built.

Volume and Attention Stay Elevated

Even with a slight retracement, SPK remained one of the more closely watched tokens in the market following the listing news. The price move was not driven by a single metric alone, but by the combined impact of new KRW market access, high trading activity, and expanding token lockup through staking. Whether the rally can extend further will likely depend on sustained demand and how the market continues to price in reduced liquid supply.
