U.S. spot crypto ETFs posted roughly $38.05 million in net inflows on June 4. Ethereum led the session by a wide margin, with about $19.30 million in allocations, accounting for more than half of the day’s total inflows.
Data shared by crypto analyst Crypto Patel on X pointed to a narrow institutional rotation rather than broad participation across the market. Only a small group of digital assets attracted meaningful ETF buying during the session.
Ethereum takes the largest share as HYPE ranks second
Spot Ethereum ETFs added 10,870 ETH, valued at approximately $19.30 million. That was the strongest allocation among all tracked assets. HYPE followed with ETF purchases totaling 182,760 HYPE, worth about $12.15 million.
XRP also recorded positive activity, with funds adding 3.26 million XRP valued near $3.83 million. Bitcoin ETFs stayed in positive territory as well, posting a net increase of 49 BTC worth around $3.05 million. The net gain in Bitcoin, though, came with clear differences among issuers.
BlackRock buys heavily while several Bitcoin ETF issuers cut holdings
BlackRock recorded the largest buying disclosed in the update. The firm added about 748 BTC valued at $47.66 million, and it also purchased 10,870 ETH worth roughly $19.30 million. That made BlackRock one of the most active buyers in the session.
Several other ETF issuers moved the other way on Bitcoin exposure. Fidelity sold 87 BTC worth about $5.54 million. Bitwise reduced holdings by 244 BTC, valued near $15.57 million, while ARK 21Shares sold 325 BTC worth around $20.72 million. Invesco also cut exposure by 198 BTC. Morgan Stanley, by contrast, bought 155 BTC valued at about $9.87 million.
Solana logs the only outflow and several assets stay flat
Solana was the only tracked asset to post a net ETF outflow. Funds reduced positions by roughly 4,020 SOL, equal to about $278,500. The withdrawal was small relative to the broader day’s activity.
BNB, LINK, LTC, DOGE, DOT, HBAR, and AVAX all recorded zero flows. The daily figures show a concentrated allocation pattern, with Ethereum, HYPE, XRP, and Bitcoin capturing nearly all reported activity in spot crypto ETFs.
