StandX, a decentralized derivatives trading platform, said it will wind down operations and abandon plans to launch a native token. Instead, the protocol will distribute all remaining platform revenue, along with additional capital injected by the team, to the community through a one-time DUSD airdrop with no lock-up or vesting restrictions. According to the project’s official announcement, the eligibility checker will open at 00:00 UTC on Oct. 26, or 08:00 Beijing time the same day. Claims will be available from 00:00 on Nov. 1 through 08:00 on Dec. 31. Any DUSD allocation not claimed on-chain before the deadline will be fully burned under preset smart contract rules. StandX also laid out a phased sunset schedule. Trading reward subsidies and Vault deposits stop on Oct. 15. On Oct. 20, perpetual trading moves to reduce-only mode, new user address registration will close, and new DUSD minting will stop. On Jan. 15, 2027, all open positions will be forcibly closed at the prevailing on-chain spot mark price. By Jan. 31, 2027, the platform will shut its official DUSD redemption and withdrawal gateway and remove all DUSD liquidity from PancakeSwap and Raydium. The project said all circulating DUSD remains fully backed and its on-chain wind-down will conclude at midnight U.S. Eastern Time on Jan. 31, 2027.

StandX said it will abandon plans for a native token and begin a phased shutdown of the platform. Under the plan, the protocol will use all remaining platform revenue, plus additional team funding, for a one-time community airdrop in DUSD with no lock-up or linear vesting.

DUSD airdrop will use the full remaining revenue pool

According to StandX’s official announcement post, the decentralized derivatives trading platform made the decision after a strategic review of its business and the broader macro environment. The project said it will formally start a gradual shutdown process and will no longer launch a native platform token.

StandX said the airdrop pool will consist of all remaining platform revenue and extra capital contributed by the team. The distribution asset will be DUSD, the platform’s settlement stablecoin. Unlike the token-governance and multi-stage vesting structures commonly seen in DeFi, StandX chose a one-time exit using a stable asset.

The project said every allocation in this round will be distributed without lock-up restrictions or linear release conditions.

Eligibility check and claim schedule

The eligibility checker is scheduled to open at 00:00 UTC on Oct. 26, which the announcement listed as 08:00 Beijing time on Oct. 26.

The claim window will run from 00:00 on Nov. 1 through 08:00 on Dec. 31. StandX said any DUSD allocation not claimed on-chain before the Dec. 31 deadline will be fully burned and reclaimed under preset smart contract rules.

Shutdown timetable runs through January 2027

To handle existing positions and reduce on-chain liquidity slippage risk, StandX published a staged sunset schedule covering several quarters.

Starting Oct. 15, the platform will stop all trading reward subsidies and close deposits into its Vault product.

Starting Oct. 20, the perpetual futures section will switch to reduce-only mode. At the same time, StandX will close registration for new user addresses and disable new DUSD minting.

In 2027, the process moves into forced liquidation. On Jan. 15, 2027, the system will forcibly close all open positions using the prevailing on-chain spot mark price and complete settlement for the underlying Vault positions.

On Jan. 31, 2027, the platform will shut down the official DUSD redemption channel and withdrawal gateway. It will also remove all DUSD market-making liquidity from PancakeSwap’s official liquidity pool and the Raydium decentralized trading protocol.

Reserve backing and final deadline

On reserves, StandX said all currently circulating DUSD is backed by sufficient collateral assets and that the treasury collateral ratio remains at full coverage. It said holder rights will remain protected by on-chain assets throughout the sunset transition.

The project asked users to complete swaps through decentralized exchange pairs or use the official withdrawal route before liquidity is removed on Jan. 31, 2027.

According to the announcement, all on-chain wind-down work is scheduled to conclude at midnight U.S. Eastern Time on Jan. 31, 2027.

The exit path outlined by StandX

The announcement said that as concentration increases in the decentralized perpetual trading sector, smaller protocols face high liquidity maintenance costs and user acquisition pressure. StandX chose to drop its token issuance plan before launch and exit using reserve assets. The project described the case as an observable example of an orderly protocol wind-down on-chain.
